Helping students move from merely competent to genuinely sophisticated responses is one of the biggest challenges in AP History courses. This webinar—featuring AP Consultants, Readers, and former Development Committee Members—focuses on practical strategies for pushing student writing toward sophisticated complexity and stronger connections across ideas, evidence, and arguments. Through consideration of course themes, attendees will explore how the transfer of historical knowledge and thinking skills helps students develop deeper understanding of both past historical periods and the contemporary world. This can increase student engagement and buy-in necessary to increase scores.
